I've said it before and I'll say it again:

Everything Jeff Buckley touches turns to gold.

Listen to his cover of Elton John's "Curtains". and if you have time, his cover of The Smiths' "I Know It's Over.")

Wow, thanks. Along with the songs you mentioned, I would also recommend the two Dylan covers, "If You See Her, Say Hello" (he sings an alternate version that is quite good, though you have to wait a while for the song to start) and "I Shall Be Released," which unfortunately was recorded over the phone (?) with some goofy guys singing along, but I can just imagine how amazing it would be if he did a serious recording of it. Good stuff, I like that site.

I do like that Dylan cover. I have it, in fact, along with "I Shall Be Released". He did in fact do a real recording of it and it's amazing.

Who are you?

Oh sorry, I'm Austin, from your BYU ward back in the winter. I hope I'm not a stalker if I read your blog. Where could I get those real versions of those covers?

Oh hey, Austin. How's it going? Read all you want. Both those covers are on the two-disc version of his Live at the Sin-e album. There's some pretty good stuff on there, it's worth owning.
